Earnings to Watch

The Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE: PG) is focused on providing consumer packaged goods. The company has a market capitalization of $176.9 billion. It is expected to report FY 2012 fourth-quarter EPS of 77 cents on revenue of $20.26 billion, compared with a profit of 84 cents a share on revenue of $20.86 billion in the year-ago period. Procter & Gamble is trading around $64.56 a share. So far this year, the stock has lost 3.22 percent.
Viacom, Inc. (Nasdaq: VIAB) is an entertainment content company. The company has a market capitalization of $24.3 billion. It is expected to report FY 2012 third-quarter EPS of $1 on revenue of $3.5 billion, compared with a profit of 99 cents a share on revenue of $3.77 billion in the year-ago period. Viacom is trading around $46.04 a share. So far this year, the stock has gained 1.39 percent.
The Progressive Corporation (NYSE: PGR) is an insurance holding company. The company has a market capitalization of $11.93 billion. It is expected to report FY 2012 second-quarter EPS of 29 cents on revenue of $4.14 billion, compared with a profit of 29 cents a share on revenue of $3.87 billion in the year-ago period. Progressive is trading around $19.59 a share. So far this year, the stock has gained 0.41 percent.
Southwestern Energy Company (NYSE: SWN) is an independent energy company engaged in natural gas and oil exploration, development and production. The company has a market capitalization of $11.46 billion. It is expected to report FY 2012 second-quarter EPS of 26 cents on revenue of $633.07 million, compared with a profit of 48 cents a share on revenue of $765.17 million in the year-ago period. Southwestern Energy is trading around $32.83 a share. So far this year, the stock has gained 2.79 percent.
