v  Asian stocks fell, while the euro weakened to an 11-year low against the yen and Treasury 10-year yields dropped to a record as a Chinese central bank board member warned of slowing growth and on concern Greece may exit the currency bloc. Commodities declined.v  The euro hovered near multi-year lows hit earlier on Monday, as Spain sparked concerns about its ability to stave off a sovereign bailout after two indebted regions sought financial assistance from the central government
v  China’s economic expansion may cool for a seventh straight quarter to 7.4 percent in the three months to September, said Song Guoqing, a member of the People’s Bank of China monetary policy committee.
v  Japan's Nikkei share average slid to a five-week low in early trade on Monday, hit by renewed fears that Spain may require a full-blown bailout after two indebted regions requested financial aid.

v  Data today may show an index (SPX) of consumer sentiment in the euro region probably fell to minus 20 in July from minus 19.8 a month earlier, economists predicted in a Bloomberg survey.
v  As iPhone fans await the release of a new model, they are delaying purchases and may cause Apple Inc. (AAPL), the world’s largest company by market value, to post its slowest sales and profit growth in more than two years.
v  Shares of SanDisk Corp. jumped more than 14% to $40 on Friday morning, after the maker of flash memory chip products reported better-than-expected results for the second quarter, despite a sharp drop in earnings for the period. The company also issued an in-line forecast for the current quarter.
v  Microsoft Corp. and Google Inc. were among the leading tech stocks to post mild gains in early trading Friday in what was mostly a down day for the sector. Google shares rose 1.5% to $601.53 and Microsoft was up by almost 1% at $30.90 following upbeat reaction to those companies' quarterly results, which came out late Thursday.
